Administrative Appeals Tribunal

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal provides independent review of a wide range of administrative decisions made by the Australian government and some non-government bodies.

On 1 July 2015, the Migration Review Tribunal (MRT) and Refugee Review Tribunal (RRT) were merged with the AAT.  Visa and visa cancellation decisions that could be reviewed in the former MRT and RRT are now reviewd in the AAT's Migration and Refugee Division.
